A day in the life of an insurance professional
Still not convinced a career in insurance is right for you?
We recently asked our teams to share what a day in the life is like for a broker.
Below, a glimpse into a typical day-to-day activities at Capurro Insurance.
Personal Lines - Insurance Broker
8:30am
I get to the office, say hello to co-workers, grab a coffee.
9:00am
Will go through my emails, usually work in order unless I have something that is specifically urgent. I would review and chase up any prospects or clients that I am still waiting for a response from and go through my to do list.
10am
Work through the chase ups list and contact clients with regards to their upcoming renewal of that week, done via phone or email and will also work through any emails, phone calls that I receive and clients that come in to our office throughout the day.
2pm
Quick lunch bite
3.00pm
Complete any pending tasks on my agenda, which may include coordinating with local or London-based insurers to finalise quotations, offering clients alternative renewal options, or assisting them in understanding the products.
5:15pm
Wrap up the day and make sure I do not have anything urgent pending and keep everything ready and up to date for the next day.
